The Challenge

  • This was the client’s first automated home and it needed to be user-friendly for all age groups
  • Grandparents were intimidated by technology, plus health concerns (knee issues)
  • The couple needed tailored automation to easily manage the house
  • Servants required basic access without compromising security
  • Mischievous younger daughter so the system had to be tamper-proof
  • Adaptation from an apartment to a large 5-floor home
  • Entry management for family + staff scheduling without separate systems
  • The Mumbai–Delhi distance made reliable, quick-response remote maintenance essential.

Our Solution

  • Introduced physical keypads, smartphone app with graphics and minimal text, and voice controls for convenience
  • Designed simplified navigation for faster access across a large house
  • Customized role-based access for grandparents, parents, children, and servants
  • Integrated HVAC, lighting, curtains, zonal music, home theatre, entry/gate management, CCTV, water level monitoring, and boiler scheduling
  • Automated lighting based on weather for safe movement at night
  • Synced grandmother’s spiritual playlist on Spotify with central audio system
  • Created event-based modes such as Party, Get-together, and Vacation
  • Automated lift calls for grandparents through fingerprint access at entry points
  • Enabled remote troubleshooting with detailed documentation for domestic help
  • Dedicated home theatre, party setup, and zonal BGM in common areas
